Short but Sweeeet

I heart bumper stickers. Not really. It's just that saying that makes me think of this one story. Remember those goofy-ass bumper stickers with the "I" then the "heart" symbol then the picture of the dog's head. And it would mean "I love my poodle." Well, a few years after those got popular I saw a bumper sticker that said, "I heart my dog's head." Hahahaha. Really. I laughed for days about that one. I heart my dog's head.

Back in the early eighties (or late seventies?) Crack or MAD magazine had a pull-out sticker in their issue. It was a drawing of a woodscrew, and the instructions were to cover-up the heart on those type of bumper stickers.

It was an incognito assignment for a young kid, so of course I did it... sneaking behind my neighbor's car and applying the sticker, so people would think the driver screwed their daschunds.

Hahaha. That's funny. I loved those magazines, in fact I still have a MAD compilation that Jay now has in his room. Most of the references (like The Mod Squad, etc) are way out of date but he still gets a laugh out it. Spy vs Spy is pretty universal.
